“Children of the future”: Training Course on Occupational Therapy
We have finished Training course according the project "Children of the Future". It is 7 days training course based on non-formal and informal learning. The course was held in Siauliai (LT) 15-21 July, 2013. 
 
The training course was held in Siauliai. The main theme of the training was based on measures that might be used in order to diminish the exclusion of young people with disabilities. The learning methods of training course were based on experiential learning, non formal learning and informal learning. Planned activities included learning via different types of therapies: art, drama, video, music, game etc. therapies. We used such occupational therapy methods as: grimace therapy, fractal therapy, self analysis therapy, surrealistic assessment techniques, social experiments and performances, video and photo analysis, reflection activities.
 
Participants came from 8 European countries: Lithuania, Cyprus, Croatia, Italy, Finland, Norway, Turkey and Estonia. Amount of participants: 25
 
The target group of the training course: youth workers, social workers, teachers, trainers, volunteers working with young people with disabilities.
 
Participants experienced in occupational therapy and taught of technics/ methods (assessment, applying, evaluating, reflecting, changing the way of behaviour etc) to work with young people with disabilities. Also participants improved: foreign language skills (English language), intercultural skills, communication skills, etc.
